MindLift ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
MindLift is operated by LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY "Rubion Lab", 14 Borysa Hmyri St., Kyiv, 02144, Ukraine, which is the data controller for the App.
MindLift is a personal development and mindset app. It is not a medical, health, or therapeutic service and does not provide health tracking, treatment, or diagnosis.
What Information We Collect
1. Authentication Data
When you sign in using Google or Apple, Firebase Authentication temporarily accesses your email address and user ID, name (optional, if provided) to authenticate your account.
We do not store or access your email address directly. It is only used internally by Firebase to manage your session.
2. Mood and Goal Selections
You choose your mood and personal goal from predefined options in the app.
This data is stored securely in our backend (Firebase) and used to generate personalized affirmations.
We do not sell, share, or use this data for advertising or analytics.
3. User Input (AI-Processed Content)
When you voluntarily enter text into the app (for example, reflections, thoughts, or descriptions of how you feel), this input is used to generate personalized affirmations and cognitive reframes.
This text is processed using artificial intelligence services to analyze language patterns and generate supportive responses.
- User input is processed in real time and is not used by us to build personal profiles.
- We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.
- We do not attempt to identify you from this content.
4. App Usage & Diagnostic Data
We collect limited technical data via Crashlytics:
- App usage patterns (e.g., screens visited, session duration)
- Device type, OS version
- Crash logs (anonymized)
We do not collect any personal or sensitive content through these tools.
5. App Usage Analytics
We use Amplitude to understand how users interact with the App. This includes:
- Screens visited
- Features used
- Drop-off points
- Device and OS type
- Session length and frequency
All analytics data is anonymized and aggregated. We use this solely to improve the App's design and functionality.
6. Advertising Attribution
To understand how users discover MindLift and to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns, we use Meta Ads Marketing API / App Events to receive anonymous install events.
- We share only anonymized and aggregated install data with Meta.
- Meta does not receive your name, email, mood, goals, or any personal identifiers.
- This data is used strictly for attribution (e.g., which ad resulted in an install).
- We do not use this data for personalized ads, tracking across apps, or profiling.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to:
- Authenticate your session (if signed in)
- Personalize your affirmation experience
- Monitor app performance and stability
- Analyze user-provided text input to generate affirmations and supportive responses using AI
- Monitor usage and identify areas for improvement
- Measure whether an ad resulted in an app install (anonymous and aggregated only)
We do not:
- Sell or share your data with third parties
- Use your data for ads or marketing
- Track you across apps or websites
- Use your content for marketing
Data Retention & Security
- All data is securely stored using Google Firebase infrastructure.
- Personalization data is linked only to your internal user ID.
- We retain minimal data and anonymize diagnostic logs wherever possible.
Sensitive Content Notice
MindLift is designed for general well-being and self-reflection.
Please avoid entering highly sensitive personal data such as medical diagnoses, physical addresses, or information about other individuals.
MindLift is not intended for crisis support or emergency situations. If you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm or are in crisis, please seek immediate professional help or local emergency services.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party tools:
- Firebase Authentication (for sign-in)
- Firebase Crashlytics (for usage stats and error tracking)
- Amplitude (for user behavior analytics)
- Meta Ads API (anonymous install attribution)
- OpenAI API (to analyze user input and generate affirmations)
Each of these providers handles data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Account & Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us at support@rubionlab.org.
We will delete your Firebase Authentication record and related session data within 30 days.
GDPR Compliance
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have rights under the GDPR including:
- Access to your data
- Correction or deletion
- Limiting processing
- Data portability
We process anonymous install attribution data under the lawful basis of legitimate interest to understand app performance and measure advertising effectiveness. This data is aggregated, does not identify you, and may be processed by Meta solely for ad performance measurement.

CCPA Compliance
We do not sell or share your personal data. California residents may:
- Request access to collected personal data
- Ask for deletion of personal information
We may share anonymous, non-personal install attribution data with Meta for advertising performance measurement. This data cannot be used to identify you and is not considered a "sale" or "sharing" under CCPA.

Children's Privacy
MindLift is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the app, please contact us to delete their data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or on this page.
